Талапкерлер Ұлттық бірыңғай тестілеу орталығының app.testcenter.kz сайты мен UTO қосымшасы арқылы тіркеліп, тест тапсыратын күн мен оның уақытын өздері таңдады.
Су тасқынына байланысты төтенше жағдай жарияланған 6 өңірдегі талапкерлерге ҰБТ-ға қатысуға өтініш білдіру уақыты 20 мамырға дейін ұзартылды. Олар ҰБТ-ны 25 мамыр мен 12 шілде аралығында тапсырады. Ал, басқа өңірлерде ҰБТ 16 мамыр мен 5 шілде аралығында өтеді.
ҰБТ-ны мектеп пен колледждердің биылғы және өткен жылғы түлектері, шетелде 11 және 12 сыныпты бітірген оқушылар, жоғары оқу орындарында шартты түрде оқып жатқандар тапсырады. Жалпы, биылғы тестілеу форматында айтарлықтай өзгерістер жоқ. Талапкерлерге үш міндетті және таңдау бойынша екі пәннен 120 сұрақ беріледі. Оның ішінде «Қазақстан тарихынан» – 20, «Оқу сауаттылығынан» – 10, «Математикалық сауаттылықтан» – 10, екі бейінді пән бойынша 40 сұрақтан беріледі.
Ең жоғары балл – 140. Тестілеу уақыты – 4 сағат. Ерекше білім беру қажеттіліктері бар балаларға қосымша 40 минут уақыт қарастырылған.
Шекті балл саны да өзгеріссіз. Ұлттық жоғары оқу орындарына түсемін деушілер кемінде 65 балл, ал, басқа жоғары оқу орындарына құжат тапсыратындар кемінде 50 балл жинауы керек. Сонымен қатар, «Құқық» және «Педагогикалық ғылымдар» салаларына қызығатындар кемінде 75 балл, медициналық мамандықтарды таңдағандар 70 балл жинауы тиіс.
